The Book Club book

Miss Marple returns in this full length novel, 50 years after her last appearance.  Written by British thriller writer, Lucy Foley, it's a story of murder set in the mountains of the Swiss Alps, in a luxurious hotel in 1950.  As always with Agatha Christie, we have a great set of suspects - a famous actress, an ambitious politician, an unknowable political wife, a dangerous friend, a clever doctor.  After a dead body is found in the ski-lift Miss Marple swiftly moves into action to find the killer.

Geoff says:

"This first "new" Miss Marple is a long awaited literary event!  Lucy Foley has written some gripping thrillers in the past (e.g. The Hunting Party/The Guest List), and this is no exception.  This is a "golden age" murder mystery - a list of varied suspects, and a killer on the loose, set in the beauty of an elegant hotel."
